Terms & Conditions

1. Service
a. Donate It will supply and deliver the specified bin(s) and crates or collected donations from the specified address on the delivery date and collect the delivered bin(s) or crate(s) on the pick-up date specified in the booking.

 

2. Fees & charges
a. Maximum hire duration is 7 days unless an extension has been authorised by Donate It

b. The customer can request an extension on their bin or crate hire for a further 7 days at the nominated service rate.
b. The customer will pay the specified amount to Donate It! in consideration of the agreed services to be provided by Donate It! to the customer and pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.
c. All fees and charges are inclusive of GST unless otherwise specified.
d. The customer acknowledges that the services may be suspended by Donate It! if payment is not received.
e. The customer acknowledges that they may be required to pay additional charges should they incur such chargers in accordance with clause 3.

 

3. Additional charges

a. In addition to the charges for the services, additional charges may be applied and charged to the customer if the bin(s) or crate(s) are filled excessively with items that are deemed as waste and cannot be passed onto a charity store or op shop and cannot be recycled for free.  This will be at Donate It’s reasonable discretion. This charge will be billed at $10 per kilo.

4. Payment

a. The customer shall pay the specified fees due under this agreement to Donate It at the time of submitting and processing the order.
b. Payment online shall be made by the customer by credit card, debit card, direct bank transfer, or PayPal.

 

5. Cancellation or variation of order

a. Donate It may terminate the agreement by giving notice to the customer if:

  • The customer is in breach of this agreement.

  • The customer fails to make the required payment(s)

  • The bin(s) or crate(s) are being used for a purpose other than what is outlined in this agreement.

  • Donate It! has received notice that the bin(s) have been placed on a site without the customer having first obtained appropriate permission.

 

6. Ownership

a. The customer acknowledges that all bin(s) and crate(s) remain the property of Donate It  at all times.

 

7. Orders & delivery

a. Delivery days will be confirmed to customers within 24 hours and delivered within 7 days of placing the order unless outside of Donate It normal service area.
b. For any specific order requirements such as a faster delivery time, you should contact us directly by phone on 0407 080 354.

 

8. Change of address

a. The customer may change the delivery address of where the services are to be performed and bin(s) and crate(s) are delivered, as long as the new address remains within an area where Donate It operates. Notice of this new address must be provided no later than 24 hours prior to the delivery date.

9. Customer obligations
The customer acknowledges and agrees:

a. To not place breakable items loose into the bin(s) and/or excessively overfill the bin(s);
b. To use the bin(s) and crate(s) as directed by Donate It! and as outlined by this agreement, at the agreed location;
c. To not remove the bin(s) from the agreed location;
d. To not use the bin(s) for any illegal purpose which contravenes this agreement or any law;
e. To use the supplied bin(s) in a reasonable and sensible manner;
f. The bear responsibility and liability for any loss, damage or destruction of the bin(s) and crate(s) whilst the bin(s) and crate(s) is under the custody and control of the Customer;
g. To make the bin(s) ready for collection by Donate It at the agreed pickup date and time.
h. To not deface or damage the bin(s) or crate(s) damaged bins will be invoiced directly to the customer at $150 per damaged bin and $10 per damaged crate
i. To only use the bin(s) and crate(s) for donating accepted items;
j. That they will indemnify Donate It! in the event of any claims, suits and demands for damages caused directly or indirectly to any person or property (including the customer), by the operation of Equipment;
k. To comply with all reasonable instructions given by Donate It

l. Customers will not leave extra items out for collection that do not fit into the bins or crates unless this has been arranged with Donate It! prior to collection. 

 

10. Bin weight

a. A limitation of 30kgs of weight applies to the bin(s) to ensure the can be moved and loaded safely into our vans.
b. Donate It may in its discretion refuse to collect the bin(s) if they are overweight

and cannot be moved safely.
c. Bins that are loaded above the rim are deemed overloaded. It is at the driver’s discretion whether the bin can safely be transported.

d. If bins are deemed overloaded and Donate It are required to return to collect the bin there will be a $50 call back charge.

e. If the customer refuses to remove overloaded items from bin and the bin cannot be safely collected, the customer will be charged $150 per bin and $10 per crate that is left on site or at the property.

11. Address or site
a. Donate It will rely on the information and instructions provided by the customer in respect to the access to the address or site.
b. The customer must ensure that the address or site has safe and unobstructed access for Donate It to safely deliver and pick-up the bin(s), crate(s) or donations.
c. The customer is solely responsible for obtaining permission for the relevant person/s, if the bin(s) is to be placed on a communal or public site or other location which in the circumstances requires the permission of a third party.

d. If bins cannot be delivered or collected at no fault of Donate It on the agreed day and time frame there will be a $50 fee applied to return to deliver or collect your bin/s and /or crates. 

 

 

12. Liability & indemnity

a. The customer shall be responsible for and shall indemnify Donate It against liability for all loss, damage, or injury to Donate It arising or caused by the Customer’s breach of these terms or the customer’s use, custody or control of the bin(s) or crate(s).

 

13. Privacy Act

a. Donate It Is committed to the protection of personal information in accordance with Australians Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988.
b. Use of the information posted on our website for commercial purposes is prohibited without the prior written consent of Donate It!.
c. Any copy or reproduction of this website, Facebook or Instagram pages or any part of it is prohibited except with the prior written consent of Donate It!
